On Friday Tiana and I decided to chase the Buff Breasted Sandpiper even though it had not been seen during the week. We drove up from cape town on Friday afternoon and arrived in Bloemfontein at 6am Saturday morning . We were met by Molene at the Krugersdrift Dam entrance and she took us to the spot where it had last been seen. A short while after Rick Nuttall arrived to help with the search. But alas the bird was not to be found. Rick showed us a few locations where we could look for other birds and later on we met up with Herman Kleynhans , Ian and Claire Grant . Below are some of the birds we found. all in all the trip was amazing and we met some amazing and helpful birders. Lifers on the trip: African Rock Pipit , Ashy Tit, Pink-billed Lark, Melodious Lark & Long Tailed Widowbird
